County Main Library
This distinctive building of Florida
limestone with a stepped glass facade
was designed by Marcel Breuer to complement
the environment. Works are on display
here from Broward County's Public Art
and Design Program encompassing paintings,
sculpture, photographs, and weavings
by nationally renowned and Florida artists.
A community technology center has personal
computers for public use and assistant/adaptive
devices for persons with special learning
and physical disabilities. Productions
from theater to poetry readings are
presented in a 300-seat auditorium.
